ANNOUNCEMENTS
- How Sweet the Sound - Rally your friends, family and community to vote for our United Voices Choir! Starting July 18th, our video submission will post online at www.HowSweetTheSound.com to be viewed and voted on by the general public. Voting is open from Sunday, July 18, 12:01 AM until Sunday, August 1, 11:59 PM. Each user will be asked to register before voting and are allowed 1 vote per per day. The Regional Finalists will be determined by adding the Round 1 judges’ score with the online voting score. Choirs will be notified if they are advancing on Monday, August 16th, 2010. Make sure to get everyone (our entire congregation, neighbors, friends and family) to log on and vote for our choir!
- Heavenly Hands will be hosting a cookout on Saturday, July 17th from 3 to 7 p.m. Please see members of Heavenly Hands in the Narthex or rear lobby after the 10 a.m. service to receive tickets. Donations will be accepted; all proceeds will go towards the paying off of the church mortgage. All Poplar Springs members are encouraged to attend and support the Youth.
- “In House Talent” - Our very own Vincent Woodard of The Divine Intentions will be celebrating their CD Release on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the RBC Center. Tickets are $10.00. - AWANA Club needs you - The AWANA program is designed to motivate, educate and empower youth ages 2-18 to know, love and serve Christ. Committed volunteers are needed to make this program a success. Please take a few moments to complete the Interest Form located in the front and rear lobby. Indicate your interest in volunteering and/or your interest in your child(ren) attending. See Reverend or Mrs. Williams for additional information.
- Shopping Trip - Anyone interested in all day shopping trip? When? Saturday, October 23rd**; Where? Concord Mills in Concord, NC (outside of Charlotte)*** Cost: $25 (non-refundable). Will be on a first come first serve basis. Sponsored by the Women’s Fellowship Ministry of Poplar Springs. Please sign up in the Copier Room if interested.
- SAVE-THE-DATE: PSCC Family Retreat will be held September 1-4, 2011 at Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center in Lake Junaluska, NC. More details to be announced.
