ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Mammogram Screening - Rex Hospital Mobile is coming to Poplar Springs on Saturday, November 13, 2010 to provide mammogram exams. Pre-registration is required. Insurance cards will be accepted. If you do not have insurance coverage, you may fill out a registration form to qualify. All interested persons are asked to meet after the 10:00 a.m. service on the 4th Sunday in August. Registration forms will be available and you may also schedule your appointment at that time. For further information contact Carolyn J. Sapp or LaSharronda Harris.
- The Music Ministry will celebrate All Choirs Celebration on Sunday, October 10th, at 10:00 a.m. Please mark your calendars and invite family and friends to be a part of this great musical celebration.
- 2010 Start! Triangle Heart Walk, Sunday, September 26th. Vanessa Snellings is a Team Captain for Rex Hospital again this year. She is asking for donations to help her reach her goal of at least $1,000.00 this year. Proceeds are for lifesaving research and program. You may either donate online at www.starttriangle.org or to Vanessa’s personal site “Go Getters” or give in person.
- Shopping Trip - Anyone interested in all day shopping trip? When? Saturday, October 23rd; Where? Concord Mills in Concord, NC (outside of Charlotte); Cost: $25 (non-refundable). Will be on a first come first served basis. Sponsored by the Women’s Fellowship Ministry of Poplar Springs. The committee members will be in the rear lobby to collect your non-refundable fee.
- Church Family Retreat - Mark the dates - September 1st - September 4th, 2011, for the PS Church Family Retreat. Registration will begin on September 26, 2010. Details and a brochure about the retreat will be available in September. Rooms are limited so plan to register early.
